Youth News Update

Tuesday, March 21, 2017

Good evening, we have some exciting things planned for our students over the coming months.  Spring and summer is a busy time for families, so I’d like to make sure everyone is getting the latest information about our activities.

1.      Deposits are due for Bigstuf to reserve your student’s spot.  We have only 15 remaining spots available.  If those spots are not filled with paid deposits by April 15.  We will have to cancel the spots to avoid payment in full to the camp.  2nd and final payment of $75 is due by May 1.  This is going to be an awesome  week. Give me a call if you have questions.

2.      Entering 7th-9th graders Interested in attending Camp Wesley Pines June 12th-16th need to register online at wesleypines.com.  Click on the camp tab at the top and use the register for camp link at the bottom of the page.  The church will pay half the registration and there is a $20 early registration discount if registered by the end of March.

3.      Who’s Got Game!  We are taking over the church parking lot on April 2nd @5pm-7pm for some much needed fun.  This is also going to be a great opportunity for students to get to know us and invite friends.  We will have a variety of Games such as 9-Square in the Air, Kan Jam, GAGA ball and others set up in the parking lot, and the students will have an opportunity to join a team and try their luck in the ESCAPE Room.  Dinner will be served. To make this evening happen, we will need some extra help.  If you are willing to come early to set up, stay late to help clean up, work in the kitchen, or chaperone.  Please let me know by responding to this email.  We greatly appreciate your help!!  Set up will begin @4pm and clean should be over by 8pm.

We will not have evening activities this Sunday, March 26, 2017.  We encourage you to bring your family and SIMPLY SERVE with our congregation.  Projects will be available in the CLC beginning @11:00am.  Come after worship enjoy lunch and time spend as a family sharing the love of Jesus.  Lunch will be served @12:30 and families can work on projects such as blessing bags for Open Table Ministry, packing Back Pack Buddy Bags, painting pillow cases for the children’s shelter and more.  We will work on projects before and after lunch is served.  We hope to see you!

Please let me know if there is anyway we can serve your family.  Please forward this information along.

Thank you,

Mary Woodruff
