Community groups start again the week of September 7th. Community groups are a place where we gather for the purpose of spiritual growth through study, prayer, and fellowship. These groups are usually held in someone's home, meeting between 6 and 12 weeks, depending on the topic. A variety of studies and times are being offered. Come over to Hardy Hall on the USM Gulf Coast campus and join us for our luncheon at about 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 24th to meet the facilitators, ask questions about the studies, and sign up to participate!
If you were unable to have your picture taken for our church directory and would like to submit your own family photo to be included, please bring it by the church office or email it to Lori Cripple by Monday, August 18th.
We will have contacted information sheets available in the narthex and the lobby of The Well. Please check to make sure your contact information is correct before we submit it for the directory.
Yoga for the mind, body and spirit at Mississippi City United Methodist Church! Come and join us Thursdays at 3:30 for yoga taught by a certified Christian yoga teacher. For more information call Rhonda Jones-228-424-7051. Cost: $40.00 per month or $15.00 per class. *First class is free!
This class is for all levels and is designed to slowly and gently move the body back to a healthier state. Creating muscle flexibility, joint mobility and learning to use our breath while quieting our minds.
Our Thursday night ladies bible study class led by Pam Mock will start on Thursday, September 18th at 5:00 p.m. and will meet in Moore Hall. The study we will be using is "Family of Jesus" by Karen Kingsbury. For further information, please contact Pam at 223-8398.
The ladies bible study group will not meet again until September 2nd. Please join us then as Glenda Hull will lead us in a study of the Jewish faith. The place of Israel and the Jewish faith in history and future events are important to our understanding of Christian history, our current Christian walk, and future eschatological events.
Our August sermon series will be "Following the Path: A Disciples Journey". Please join us on this journey to more faithful living. We begin Sunday in The Lonely Place.
Our College Ministry Team hopes to send a care package to each of our church members who are full time undergraduate college students. We need your help with this! From August 3rd - 24th, there will be a container on the central campus and also at The Well where you can place your donations of back to school supplies or small items for a student's dorm room or first apartment. Please help us show our students that we care.
