It was a joy to hear how Seashore Mission is working to help people in our area. This past Sunday, Charleen Smith asked us to consider paying at least $50 per month to help their mission. More would certainly be appreciated. If each person commits to $1/month, we could more than reach that goal. If you are interested in helping support Seashore Mission financially over the next 12 months, please let me know and I will coordinate sending payments.

The Adult Chancel Choir will be taking the month of July off and will resume on Wednesday, July 30th at 7:00 p.m. in the choir room. Anyone who is interested in joining the choir, this is a great time to do so. Look forward to seeing everyone there.
Then place your order and/or payment in the offering plate or give it to Alice in the Church office.
We are delighted to announce that the meals from your meal packaging event have been shipped in a container totaling 285,120 meals from our Jackson, MS warehouse. The meals will be received by our in-country partner, Citihope International, in the Dominican Republic.
With 42% of the population below the poverty line, food shortage is prevalent throughout the Dominican Republic. CitiHope provides food and other resources to health facilities including maternal hospitals, schools, orphanages and other needy people and takes an active role in the distribution and monitoring. CitiHope supports sustainable educational and development programs that empower locals to create strong, self-sufficient communities.
Citihope's country director in the Dominican Republic says, "We consider this not to be 'charity' but a real investment in humanity. The school and orphanage programs help our country so much by creating a future of responsible citizens that contribute to the improvement of our society. These children come from families that cannot supply even one meal a day for their children and don't understand the purpose of education. So the motivation comes from the food!...These Stop Hunger Now donations are a defining component that heals a nation, multi-dimensionally." The addition of Stop Hunger Now meals enables CitiHope to provide for the nutritional needs of the students, mothers and other beneficiaries enrolled in their development programs.
Thank you for generously donating your time as a volunteer with Stop Hunger Now. We are sincerely grateful for your dedication and for sharing our vision of a world without hunger.
